JAYCO SD Series Bearing Housings are engineered for extreme operating conditions where heavy loads, high temperatures, vibration, and continuous service are critical. Compared to SN, SNA, and SNH series housings, the SD Series features a more robust construction and heavier wall sections, making it ideal for industries requiring maximum reliability and extended service life.

The SD Series is recommended for shaft diameters from 150 mm up to 450 mm and is widely used in cement plants, steel rolling mills, mining, power plants, paper mills, conveyors, crushers, and material handling systems.

Adapter sleeve arrangements available based on bearing series and shaft size

For cylindrical shaft applications, SD housings can be supplied without labyrinth, identified by suffix G (e.g., SD 3140 GTS)

Lubrication System

Suitable for grease lubrication and oil lubrication

Grease nipple provided at the center of the cap for effective relubrication

Designed for efficient lubrication when using W33 type bearings

For oil lubrication, a circulating oil system can be employed

Integrated internal sump allows smooth grease or oil flow during operation

Pocket cavity at lock-nut location collects used lubricant

Drain holes and oil level indicator provisions provided on base pads for easy maintenance

Sealing Arrangements

JAYCO SD Series offers superior sealing options for harsh environments:

Labyrinth Seal (TS) – standard for grease lubrication

Taconite Seal (TER) – recommended for dusty, wet, or highly contaminated environments

Rubber O-Ring combined with labyrinth seal allows axial shaft displacement due to thermal expansion

End cover provisions available for shaft-end and non-shaft-end configurations

Dimensional Series Availability

Five-dimensional series are available to suit different bearing arrangements:

SD 31 – suitable for bearing series 23100 with adapter sleeve

SD 30 – suitable for bearing series 23000 with adapter sleeve

SD 33 – suitable for bearing series 23000 With adapter sleeve
