JAYCO Engineering India manufactures SNL 3100 Series Bearing Housings as a further developed and reinforced version of the standard SNL range, specifically designed to accommodate large size bearings and very high load applications. Horizontally split housing design, enabling easy bearing installation, inspection, and replacement
Hollow bottom base construction specifically engineered for large size housings
Bottom base reinforced with four side ribs and two central ribs, significantly increasing load-carrying capacity
Enhanced structural stiffness to withstand high vibration and shock loads
Improved internal cavity geometry for smooth oil circulation and effective lubrication
Optimized housing design for better heat dissipation through walls and base
Bearing Size Range & Configuration
Tapered bore bearings with adapter sleeve:
Shaft diameters range from 115 mm to 500 mm
Cylindrical bore bearings:
Shaft diameters range from 130 mm to 530 mm
These ranges represent the limiting sizes for suitable bearing selection in the SNL 3000 & 3100 Series.
Axial Location & Bearing Arrangement
Provision for locating rings is available for axial positioning of bearings
Depending on bearing size and application requirement, one or two locating rings may be used
For very large size housings, locating rings are generally not used; instead, free axial displacement is provided
Bearings are accurately machined for both locating (FX) and non-locating (FR) arrangements
Product suffixes are used to indicate bearing location type
Lubrication & Monitoring Features
Suitable for both grease and oil lubrication
For continuous and heavy-duty applications, circulating oil lubrication systems can be implemented
Grease nipples provided on suitable cap pads for relubrication
For W33 type bearings with annular groove, grease nipples are positioned at the center of cap width
For other bearings, grease nipples are fitted on the sides
Provision for condition monitoring sensors (temperature and vibration) on cap or base pads
Drain plug provided at the base of housing
For oil lubrication, threaded connection for oil level indicator is available
Sealing Arrangements

Taconite Seal – TNF (Axial Seal)
Taconite sealing consists of multiple internal sealing stages and is recommended as the first choice for extremely harsh environments, such as cement plants, mining operations, and heavy industrial machinery.
End Cover & Shaft End Options
Provision for End covers for closed-end shaft applications
End cover arrangements are identified using prefix “A” along with seal designation

These housings are dimensionally interchangeable and compatible with bearings from SKF, FAG, NTN, ZKL, TIMKEN, and other internationally recognized manufacturers.

Foundation & Mounting Features
Housing feet designed with oval foundation slots to ensure rigidity and alignment
For extremely heavy loads acting parallel to the base, pad-in bottom dowel pin arrangements are available
Dowel pin holes are provided in the base and can be drilled on site for precise installation
