The JAYCO SNLN 3000 & 3100 Series Bearing Housings are developed as an extended and reinforced version of the standard SNL range, specifically engineered to accommodate large shaft diameters and heavier bearing loads.
While the SNLN 3000 Series covers applications up to 110 mm shaft diameter, the SNLN 3100 Series extends the operating range further, providing enhanced strength and durability for heavy-duty industrial applications. These housings retain all functional advantages of the standard SNL series, with additional structural reinforcement for higher bearing capacity and longer service life.
The SNLN 3000 & 3100 Series is widely used in cement plants, steel mills, mining equipment, material handling systems, heavy conveyors, power plants, and other high-load industrial environments.
Design & Construction Features
Horizontally split housing design, ensuring easy mounting, inspection, and bearing replacement

Shaft Diameter & Bearing Arrangement
SNLN 3000 Series
Adapter sleeve bearings: 110 mm to 260 mm shaft diameter
Cylindrical bore bearings: 120 mm to 280 mm shaft diameter
SNLN 3100 Series
Extended range to accommodate larger shaft sizes for heavy-duty applications
These ranges represent the limiting shaft diameters for suitable bearing selection in the SNLN series.
Axial Location & Lubrication
Provision for bearing location in axial direction using two locating rings, as required
Suitable only for grease lubrication
Drain hole provided at the housing base to remove used grease during maintenance
Drain plug provided on one side of the base
Multiple grease nipple pads provided on the housing cap
Grease nipples positioned conveniently on the top for effective relubrication
Provision available for condition monitoring sensors (online vibration and temperature measurement) on cap or base, as required
Sealing Arrangements
JAYCO SNLN 3000 & 3100 Series housings are available with multiple sealing options to suit different operating environments:
Felt Seal – TC
Rubber V-Seal – TA
Four Lip Seal – TL
Labyrinth Seal – TS
Taconite Seal – ND (Radial Seal)
Taconite Seal – TNC (Axial Seal)
The availability of multiple seal options makes the SNLN series superior to earlier designs. For medium to heavy loads and higher speeds, Four Lip Seals are recommended. For dusty and hostile environments, the Taconite Seal offers maximum protection to bearings and lubricant.
End Cover & Housing Assembly Options
Provision for end cover available for shaft end applications
End cover identification is indicated using prefix “A” along with seal designation
Example: TA (V-Ring Seal), ATA (V-Ring Seal with one-side end cover)
Dimensional Series Availability
Two-dimensional housing series are available in the SNLN range:
SNLN 30 – Suitable for bearings with adapter sleeve
SNLN 31 – Suitable for bearings with cylindrical bore
Material Options
JAYCO SNLN 3000 & 3100 Series Bearing Housings are manufactured in the following materials, allowing selection based on load and application:
Graded Cast Iron – FG 260 (IS 210)
Cast Steel – Grade 280–450 (IS 1030)
Spheroidal Graphite (Ductile) Iron – Grade 400/15 (IS 1865)
Foundation & Mounting Provisions
Standard housings are provided with Two foundation slots
In standard execution, inbuilt provision for four foundation holes is not available
On special request, four foundation holes can be drilled in the base casting to provide additional rigidity
Such provisions are recommended for applications involving high vibration or severe loading
Foundation slot options:
SNLN 30…MS1 – Two foundation slots
SNLN 30…MS2 – Four foundation slots (without retaining two standard slots)
