JAYCO TVN Type Bearing Housings are robust Plummer block housings designed for mine cars, rail-mounted equipment, and harsh industrial environments. Engineered for rough operating conditions, shaft misalignment, and temperature-challenging applications, these housings deliver reliable performance, extended bearing life, and low maintenance.

Standard TVN Design – Mine Car Bearing Housings

Designed for Shock, Dust & Continuous Service

JAYCO TVN 200 and TVN 300 bearing housings are equipped with:

Self-aligning ball bearings (1200 / 1300 series)

Deep groove ball bearings (6200 / 6300 series)

These housings are primarily used as journal bearing units for mine cars, where durability and alignment tolerance are essential.

Design Variants Available

JAYCO supplies TVN housings in two standard designs:

Design A – Sealed End Cover

For shaft end applications

Enhanced protection against dust and contaminants

Design B – Open Cover

For through-shaft applications

Suitable where shaft passes completely through the housing

Double felt strip sealing fitted between housing and cover

TVN Housings for High-Temperature Applications

Engineered for Hot, Moist & Dry Environments

For high-temperature service, JAYCO supplies TVN housings as floating bearings only, in Design A with sealed cover, incorporating a special high-temperature sealing system.

Special Sealing Arrangement Includes:

Two high-temperature steam-resistant packing seals between shaft and housing

One flat seal between housing and cover

This configuration prevents heat, moisture, and vapor ingress while maintaining bearing integrity.

High-Temperature Application Areas

Sand-Lime Brick Industry (Hot & Moist Environment)

Bearings used:

Deep groove ball bearings 6200 / 6300 high-temperature series

Lubrication:

Special high-temperature, moisture-resistant lubricant

Housing is completely filled with lubricant

Lubricant penetrates micro-gaps and forms a protective film, preventing moisture ingress and corrosion

Dry High-Temperature Applications (Hot & Dry Environment)

Typical applications:

Clinker hardening plants

Kilns

High-temperature conveyors

Bearings used:

High-temperature deep groove ball bearings (black surface finish)

Lubrication:

High-temperature dry-film lubricant paste

Bearings must be fully greased before mounting

Optional pre-greased, sealed bearings can also be supplied for easier installation
